Dr. Swerlick has had an illustrious career as a basic science researcher in dermatology. He has used written PROs in his own clinic for several years and has worked with Drs. Chren and Chen to develop and test the Skindex-Mini, a quick, 3-question quality of life measure for dermatology. This is currently one of the PROs under consideration for routine use for dermatologists participating in the American Academy of Dermatology’s DataDerm project nationwide.
